Perfect Surroundings for Energetic Dogs

Your dog will enjoy 50 acres of rural farmland near the river Duddon. With plenty of fresh air and space to run, your dog will be returning time and time again. We welcome all dogs, so whether you have a dog full of energy, a nervous dog or a dog that is used to the outdoor life, contact us today to discuss your requirements.

Walking

All dogs are walked twice daily through green countryside fields. Even in the poorest weather, your dog will always have the opportunity to relieve itself and to exercise. Your dog(s) can be walked with others (pending your permission) or alone depending on its individual personality and temperament. We like to find pairs or groups of dogs that compliment each other and maximise fun and enrichment. Your dog might even make a new best friend. We only allow dogs off lead (with your permission) if they exhibit good recall and behaviour. Please provide your own leads or other equipment and we will return in the same condition it was brought in.

Feeding

Feeding time is at 4pm sharp. If your dog is required to be fed at a different time or more often, please let us know. We are always able to be flexible with feeding. We have a range of foods both dry and wet. We predominantly use Skinners dry food. If your dog has a specific diet, does not like dietary changes or has any allergies we recommend providing its own food to minimise stress or an upset stomach. Please let us know if your dog may refuse to eat or is a picky eater. If your dogs disagree at feeding time, we have split kennels so that they can be separated whilst they eat.

Bedding

We provide raised beds with vet bedding and blankets, but you are more than welcome to bring your dogs own bedding for their stay. This includes crates/cages if your dog prefers them. We cannot guarantee bedding will be returned or return in the same condition it was brought in.

Toys

We do not accept toys or chews as they are choking hazards especially when your dog is unsupervised. We also cannot guarantee toys will be returned or return in the same condition it was brought in.

Kennels

Each kennel is fully tiled front to back. Each kennel is cleaned twice daily or more if required. The kennel is well lit with both natural and artificial light, has an insulated roof for heat retention in the winter and has plenty of ventilation for the summer. We also have heat lamps for the wintertime. Every kennel has a bowl of water, which is changed daily.
The amount of dogs you may want to bring may depend on how many kennels you will have to book. Each kennel can on average hold 2 large dogs or 3 small dogs, but your combination may differ. Please don’t hesitate to contact us about dog combinations and kennel sizes. Your dog(s) will NEVER share a kennel with any other customer’s dogs.

Medical Requirements

All dogs must be fully vaccinated including the Kennel Cough Vaccine to be admitted to the kennels. We ask that dogs individual up-to-date vaccination cards to be provided to the kennels for the duration of your dogs stay. Your dog must also be up to date with flea, tick, and worming treatments. No dog suffering from or suspected to be suffering from any infectious or contagious disease can be accepted. Please let us know if you have a bitch that is not spayed and is in or coming towards her season.

We ask that any medical issues and requirements must be discussed with us up front. We are more than happy to administer most medications your dog may require. If your dog is on any kind of medication please make sure to leave it with us, clearly labelled with you and your dogs name and clear instructions on how and when it is to be administered. Should your pet need urgent medical assistance, we live on site and have access to an experienced 24/7 on-call vet at all times. Should your dog need non-urgent medical assistance, it will be taken to your specified veterinary surgery.

Grooming Services

We do not provide grooming services. That includes dog bathing, dog grooming and nail clipping

Dog Day Boarding

We recognise that people have busy lives, and that the health and wellbeing of your dog is important to you while you are away for the day. Whether you work all day or you just want a few free hours, we can provide your dog a safe and fun environment. All the information above still applies. We have flexible times and if you want us to meet you and your dog in advance please give us a call to arrange a meeting.
